オハウ lake
The オハウ lake is a glacial lake in the Mackenzie basin of the southern island of New Zealand. This lake is the lake which is the smallest in three quite parallel lakes extending to the north and south along the north end of the Mackenzie basin (two of et al. are テカポ lake and プカキ lakes). The area of this lake is 60 square kilometers.
Hopkins River and the Dobson River which assume southern Alps the source flow into the オハウ lake. In addition, an outflow river of this lake is オハウ River, and this river supplies water to a Y Taki River generation plan.
オハウスキー ground is located near the southwestern bank of the lake.
The water system of this lake makes a traditional boundary part of the Otago district and the Canterbury district, and the northernmost part of Otago becomes the Hopkins riverhead style.
