The international social movement that the slow food (British: slow food) was proposed in 1986 by Italian Carlo ペトリーニ. I point to exercise or food in itself reviewing traditional food culture and ingredients of the land by a way of thinking advocated for fast food.

I was proposed as some of "the Slow Life motion" (in English Slow movement) wider concepts. This activity spreads before I have more than 100000 members now more than 150 countries [1]. I reviewed sustainable food culture, and the purpose such as supporting local small scale business might be arrested by political positioning to object to the globalism of farm products and developed to throw city exercise more.

Process

At the mid-1980s, McDonald's opened in one Piazza di Spagna of the famous spot of Roma. This produces a sense of impending crisis that food culture in Italy is run through by fast food, and it is said that I was connected for "slow food" exercise.

In 1986, "slow food" exercise began in the town of the bra (Bra) of Piedmont in northern Italy. Carlo ペトリーニ which was the editor of the food culture magazine called "ゴーラ" is it in the one which made a meeting of the dainty food called "アルチ ゴーラ" for one branch of the group called the Italian spare time, lyceum (ARCI, アルチ) by an opening in those days. アルチ in itself is a grass-root-like Italian cultural restoration movement organization having more than 1200000 members. I am based on native culture, connection and have the relation that is close to an idea of the slow food.

Idea

A book of the Jean アンテルム ブリア = savarin greatly influenced the idea of the slow food. I announced the concept "to have a right in the person being pleased" in a manifesto of 1989, and it was international exercise after the throw food declaration in the international throw food association establishment meeting open to the same year in Paris again. A book of Natsu Shimamura came to be known after the publication of "the life that was slow food" generally in Japan. It began to penetrate from about 2000, and slow food Japan was established formally in October, 2004.

In one of the actions of the slow food motion in Japan, it is cultivated traditionally in each district, and it is rare, and, among the inherent kind and processed foods which have been eaten, there is "an ark (アルカ) of the taste" as the exercise that is going to protect "the meal" that is going to become extinct.

Katsuhiko Taketomi who performed the ancient U.S. production by recycling agricultural methods in 2002 won slow food grand prix. I have never met a prize winner in Asia.
