Convergys Corporation sells a product of CRM for big companies and the information management or service mainly in a company establishing the head office in Ohio Cincinnati. The CRM product to handle allows service and a customer provided by an operator to solve it by oneself and serves it, and there is the software of the customer care, and it is provided in total by information and communication, finance, technology, a retail trade, health care, various types of industry including the government office. Information management service includes request unification and BSS (business support system), and services such as sales management, a product, the order management, the customer care management are provided for a phone company, community service, cable TV, satellite broadcasting, a broadband service offer company. In 31 countries, I have approximately 130,000 employees.
History
Convergys is the company which performed a spin-off from Cincinnati Bell Information Systems which is group companies of Cincinnati Bell and Matrixx. By the IPO which went (MATRIXX was a subsidiary of AT&T Solutions Customer Care (old AT&T American Transtech), but is sold to Cincinnati Bell in August, 1998) in August, 1998, it completely became the independent company [3]. I set up the head office in Ohio Cincinnati and purchase a large number of companies afterwards.
Convergys sold a company's personnel affairs section to NorthgateArinso in March, 2010 [4].
On March 22, 2012, NEC which was a Japanese technology company announced that purchased the information management duties section of Convergys for approximately 44,900 million dollars [5]; [6].
In 2012, eight years passed from an entry to the Philippines, and Convergys Philippines which had 18 center and 26,000 employees was authorized in International ICT Awards in the same year by "BPO Employer of the Year" [7].
On April 30, 2013, Convergys purchased the call center duties in Kuala Lumpur and Manila for 20 million dollars from Datacom based in the New Zealand [8]; [9].
On June 6, 2014, Convergys and Stream Global Services announced that they began the final merger agreement. This was a thing that Convergys purchased Sream for 820000000 dollars in cash that was a total corporate value, and the purchase was completed on [10], March 3, 2015, and Convergys became the BPO provider of the second place in the outsourcing industry. In addition, the business scale of Convergys became the 31 countries, 150 center by this merger, and, as for the number of employees, it was approximately 130,000 to cope in 47 languages [11].
Convergys released the interactive Web site (renewed solution example introduction and recruitment of talented people page) of the new sense on November 1, 2015 [12].
