History
This village is recorded for the first time as "Crebecke" in 1256, and it is transcribed into "Kreybecke" (1340) later. This name means クレーエンバッハ (brook of the crow) or クラーニヒベッハ (brook of the crane) and comes from that inhabitants watched that a large flock of cranes often gets down on a break on the way of the ferry in the brook near the village in those days. The name notation of the village changed with Crebecke (1256), Krebecke (1266), Kreybecke (1340), Grebicke (1649) by 1649.
