三宅康直
Yasushi Miyake direct (Miyake obedient culture July 24, 8 (September 11, 1811) - 1893 (1893) August 9) is a daimyo of the last part of Edo era. The eleventh feudal lord of the Mikawa Kunida original feudal clan. The Tahara feudal clan Miyakes 14 generations.
Mutsuo of Harima country Himeji feudal clan feudal lord, the Sakai faithfulness. Mother is concubine, 於満寿 of the faithfulness. The reception room a daughter, a second wife of the Tadashi Nishio good an adopted daughter (daughter of Domeki, Honjo) of Soshu Honjo. It is Tadateru Sakai (the eldest son), 酒井忠敬 (the third son), Masamoto Takenokoshi (four men), a daughter (酒井忠彰正室), a daughter (Miyake Koho era reception room), a daughter (水野忠幹継々室) for a child. Life
(1827), late feudal lord, Yasuaki Miyake did it without a heiress for civil administration ten years and died of an illness. It was the finance of the Tahara feudal clan which turned worse from the start, but because I was appointed from the Shogunate in (the Tenpo era first year) in 1830 by a sunlight festival prefect and held sunlight vicarious visit, the feudal clan finance turned worse more, and need of the reform was pressed for. Therefore I decided that 康直 appointed (1832), 崋山 in an old position for Tenpo era three years and reformed it. At first 崋山 planned the solution to misfortune of the Tahara feudal clan. The merchant of a case and the other countries which took the loading of the other countries ship where 領民 was wrecked intervened skillfully these days in the Tahara feudal clan and planned newly reclaiming a rice field in feudal clan territory and had various problems. 崋山 solved these with negotiations. In addition, 崋山 cooperated with 康直 and adopted talented person appointment systems called supply and 格高分合制 of two provisions newly. That this talented person appointment system appoints it regardless of family status heavily in particular if is an able talented person; was advanced. In addition, 崋山 invited scholar of agricultural administration, Nagatsune Okura and encouraged upbringing of expensive farm products of the saleability such as a sweet potato (sweet potato), Haji, the camellia.
However, the reform of 康直 and 崋山 fails from the unexpected place. One is that in the territory was attacked by great famine of the Tenpo era. Criticized this if reckless, and 崋山 wrote "慎機論", but 崋山 was in this way ordered confinement in the hometown on 入牢 (prison of 蛮社). 崋山 committed suicide for fear of a crime falling on 康直 in (1841) for Tenpo era 12 years.
康直 takes an agent in December of the year probably because there is the success and works until I get illness for (Kaei era two years) in 1849 and resign it. The reform was delayed by death of 崋山, but 康直 gave clansman Norimune Murakami who learned gunnery from Shuhan Takashima an order for production of a Western style cannon and the gunpowder for (Tenpo era 13 years) in 1842 and I built Daiba in Haze-mura for (Tenpo era 14 years) in 1843 and strengthened coastal defense, and it-type, the West checked the military organization of the feudal clan for (Kaei era three years) in 1850. In November of the year, I went into retirement and left birthright to Koho of the son-in-law and died at 83 years old (1893) on August 9 in 1893. A cemetery is 霊巌寺 of Tahara-shi, Aichi north Banba.
Issue of successor
It was objected to 崋山 at the time of 三宅氏入嗣, but it is said that it was close like friend relations with 崋山. 崋山 spares that a blood relationship of Miyake dies out and, for the senior retainer of the Himeji feudal clan which managed this on the occasion of adoption, is subject to letting a successor of 康直 inherit the Miyake Koho era (the eldest son of Tomonobu Miyake) not the son and lets you understand it. However, 康直 planned to do a child to a successor with the 国家老鈴木弥太夫 and others which was a political adversary of 崋山 when 崋山 died, and strong support disappeared in Koho. Before Sadamu Maki of the chief vassal who learned a sense of impending crisis, I committed harakiri in order to remonstrate about this at Totomi, Kanaya hotel (current Kanaya, Shimada-shi-cho, Shizuoka) on the way of the daimyo's alternate-year residence in Tokyo. There was 諫言 by Norimune Murakami, and 康直 decided to assume the Koho era a successor again and gave confinement disposal to 鈴木弥太夫.
