The fight of Ichinoya and the post
I participate in the fight of Ichinoya with brothers with a father husband according to the major military of Noriyori Minamotono and, with Heike hunt, am killed in action though I fight hard (by his death, the direct descendant of the Sho book head family will die out). A grave is built in 宥荘寺 afterwards by the wife. The wife of 頼家 changes the name to 妙清禅尼 (みょうせいぜんに) and prayed for the husband, but it is an adopted child, and the Saburo gate-guard offices next which is a younger brother of 頼家 will inherit this head family because the wife is still young, and the real child was not born. Notation called "Saburo Honjo Court Security Office" is seen in "Agatsuma model", and it is thought that I gave Honjo for the first time, but the room for discussion remains (later description). Sho who remained in the Musashi country will give its Honjo afterwards because the Sho book head family moves to the Bicchu country and just settles down and was aboriginal. It is a house in the younger brothers of the house next that inherited this head family of the Kodama party once and is a branch family of Sho (this grandmaster of Sho goes to Bicchu, and what inherited this head family of the Kodama party is easy to confuse the thing called the Sho branch family very much).
There is not the tradition what kind of death 頼家 was, and old documents do not have the description either, but it is written down to "the description of competition between two teams ups and downs" that Shozaburo husband (Saburo makes an error in writing originally Taro) father and son were active with transfer horse three horse men (because the small convention horse lacked physical strength to pick up Musha of the huge armor). The child of these father and son is regarded as 頼家, and it is considered that it was a living-in-life at the point in time to catch Shigehira Tairano alive, and it is considered that I defeat it in this back and die and did it.
The post of 宥荘寺
A family temple erected in (1202) for Kennin two years in the early thirteenth century by 妙清禅尼 which is the wife of 頼家 is 宥荘寺. However, the temple is destroyed by fire by a thistle Yamaai war of (1337) for Engen two years of the mid-14th century. Furthermore, a priest of Kishu that said 頼暁 in (1555) for astronomy 24 years of the mid-16th century regretted that hallowed ground related to Honjo disappeared and rebuilt west light temple (the temple which I built to large Kuboyama whom pursuing an honest career Nobuyuki who was Kodama party father said to in Mt. Asami, Honjo) and 宥荘寺 to one place. 宥勝寺 means this. The mountain is west Mitsuyama.
The origin of the name of 宥荘寺 is "宥 (なだ) めるための temple in Mr. Zhuang" (庄) according to the name.
Uesugi and Hojo had an Asami Yamaai war in (1537) for astronomy six years and, according to the handing down of 宥勝寺, experienced the second destruction by fire. The ecclesiastical official escapes from the war, and, for 16 years, it is said that the temple was a state of the main absence.
I it about age and genealogical consideration
In "The Heike Monogatari," the person considered to be young warrior pointed at 16-20-year-old people. When I assume 庄小太郎 around 20 years old, the birth is regarded as the 1160s. When I assume age of 庄小太郎 at the end of the mid-twelfth century, the possibility that a father husband was born in the early twelfth century becomes higher necessarily. There is not the sense of incongruity, and consistency is correct in the generation and genealogy order if 家弘 (grandfather of 庄小太郎) which is father can suppose that a husband was born in the 1140s with birth in the 1110s if I do it, and Hiroyuki Kodama participated in the position for three years for the grandfather after the end of eleventh century for this head family second generation.
From this and others, I can suppose it about the construction of the Kurisaki building when built over (middle part of the twelfth century) in the 1140s from after 1130.
Discussion about the ancestor of Honjo
"Agatsuma model" には, a description of the mid-thirteenth century can identify the name of "本庄四郎左衛門尉" (time house) as "Saburo Honjo Court Security Office" (house next), but, in the Saburo Honjo Court Security Office, it is thought that I think about being the error in writing of the person's name and a document with much confusion with the error in writing of the Shozaburo gate-guard office. Because the house next which is the third son of the husband became same Bicchu Sho, it is very likely to be the house at time of the younger brother to have given Honjo for the first time. There are too few descriptions of "the Agatsuma mirror" for a house at time of the younger brother, and the house next which was active in West Japan is doubtful whether you named Honjo it. Therefore, the possibility that 本庄四郎左衛門尉時家 is an ancestor of Honjo is bigger. As a result of various confusion, it is thought that a misrepresentation "to be a meaning to say Sho of this head family" settled even in the local human being with Honjo.
In the first place 頼家 does not give its Honjo, and there is not such a tradition, too. The expert much less the local human being does not recognize 頼家 with the ancestor of Honjo, too. Besides, in 頼家, it is a mistake that 頼家 which was killed young in action became a military commander of Bicchu Sho not an ancestor of Honjo.
One of the grounds that 頼家 did not name Honjo it includes the name of the family temple erected west of the Kurisaki building of the Kurisaki village. Because it was a meaning to be called "a temple to soothe Mr. Zhuang" and was 宥荘寺, it has been told here (hometown) as the Zhuang (庄) small Yori Taros in the coming ages. When 頼家 was killed in action, it is considered that 定綱 (house rope) which is the second son of the husband has been already aboriginal in other territories, and it is considered that the house next which is the third son was convenient for an adopted child of 頼家 (therefore it is supposed that it was described on the genealogy when house next is the second son). As a result, a family inherited a party at time of the younger brother.
Other
- "Agatsuma model" In the の description, the name of the house comes up at house next and time that are a younger brother of 頼家, but the name of 頼家 is not described at all. Because according to tradition, 頼家 of Sho Kodama were killed in action in the fight of Ichinoya even if they think from this thing, it is considered that a description did not remain in particular.
- In 頼家 which was killed in action before making 嫡男 while inheriting this head family of the Kodama party, a genealogy is considered to have been the original (forgery) object which is easy to be considered to be it in the coming ages, and the Honjo whole families doing 頼家 with ancestors in the early modern times appear (they ignore the tradition in Kodama-gun). It is the fact to have been easy to forge the later genealogy simply because it has been cut off.
- According to the temple tradition of 宥勝寺, it is said that the wife of 頼家 built 請 じて temple to the Buddhist priest of Kyoto.
- It is informed that the old fan of 宥勝寺相伝 is a memento of 頼家唯一. In addition, "the Zhuang Kotaro grave" in 宥勝寺 becomes the Saitama designation historic site by the name of "the Zhuang small Yori Taros rest-in-peace pagoda" in the grave in the form of the five-ring tower.
Remarks
- In Honjo-shi, there are 金鑚神社 and 大山阿夫利神社 (existing 阿夫利天神社) where Shotaro husband let you build it, but 頼家 which is a son does not have such a tradition, and there is an aspect lacking in tradition. There is not the tradition of the kind that 頼家 built the castle and fort at all whereas the house next which is a younger brother is informed even tradition of "児玉記考" (the first part) (1900 publication) following "the back of the husband saying main of the lord of a castle = Kurisaki building of Honjo". In addition, the tradition that 頼家 let you build some kind of facilities on the ground except Kurisaki is not informed even handing down of 宥勝寺. Even if the wife of 頼家 thinks by the temple tradition because there is it when there was not yet the child childishly, it is hard to think that 頼家 became independent from a husband. If house next considers margin, that the Kurisaki building became important temporarily, as for a husband having wanted to let you inherit it as a next owner, it is originally thought with 頼家 which is the eldest son. The son of the house next has finally left Kurisaki.
- Because 頼家 is considered to be young warrior, it is thought with during 16-20 years old, but, in 妙清禅尼自身, it is thought that I consider it because I am informed the one of the wife when there was not still 嫡男 childishly with early teens. It is thought that I am younger than 頼家 afterwards even if I acquire the study as the nun and think because I did a thing and the house next which built a temple in a Kurisaki place with an adopted child.
