イワモトケンチ

イワモトケンチ (Kenchi Iwamoto, 1961 -) is Japanese picture writer, movie director, comic artist and an illustrator. AichiKasugai-shiA native place.

Career

Academy (existing Japan film school) scenario seminar graduation specialized in Yokohama broadcast movie for 1,982 years.

It is the activity as a comic artist and the illustrator over 1985 through 1989. I place comics work in "an ordinary punch" or "the young magazine pirated edition". Serialization comics include "cyborg flower". As for the work, it was gathered up "a tranquilizer" in "a life".

In 1990, I finish the activity as the comic artist and turn into a movie director. First supervision work "Kikuchi" is completed. In 1991, "Kikuchi" is exhibited at German Berlin International Film Festival, forum section formally and wins "ウォルフガンク Staudte Prize" (the rookie of the year title). It was shown a single hall in Japan and was shown afterwards in London and Paris, New York, Chicago.

On March 29, 1991, I found イワモケ which is a private office Ltd. in Tokyo. I begin a full-scale movie director, activity as the picture writer.

In 1993, "the holiday making monkey" of the supervision second item is completed. It was shown as an opening work in the Swiss Locarno International Film Festival, a competition section.

In 1997, I "always produce Namahage". In May, 1998, I win "Golden sun" award (best of the festival) by California sun international animation Festival (California SUN International Animation Festival). In January, 1999, I win a "finalist" award (best 4) in a craft animation section of The NewYork Festivals.
