Teiko Okamoto

Teiko Okamoto (おかもとさだこ, February 10, 1933 -) is a samisen accompanist of the Japanese naniwabushi recitation. In Yao-shi, Osaka native place, Honna is boundary Teiko. Association of naniwabushi recitation close friend position.

Origin

Miss Okamoto plum of the Rev. naniwabushi recitation equal to the aunt is of the same discipline and, in 1947, introduces myself as Teiko Okamoto. I get nervous for a debut in "a sweet alcoholic drink made from sake lees teahouse" in 徳島県貞光長 in 1948 and convert to a samisen accompanist in 1951. I form a leading show "software show" with Kioroshi Kei Tsu branch (Koshi Kyouyama Sakae of the Rev. current naniwabushi recitation), Kinuyo Tanaka in about 1961 and am in charge of a samisen and I cancel a trio in June, 1978 and return to the world of the naniwabushi recitation.

I serve Koshiwaka Kyouyama, a samisen accompanist of 2 代目京山小圓嬢等 now for the second generation.
