Shimo-Suwa Station (しもすわえき) is an East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) Chuo Main Line station in Hirosecho, Shimosuwa-machi, Suwa-gun, Nagano [1].

Summary

Station structure

Around station
The station square is a big open space. There are a big parking lot and a garage of the JR bus Suwa Office. Cafe "Charmant" of the JR direct management is established in the corner of the Suwa Office garage.
In the station, each main tourist attraction of Shimosuwa is within walking distance located in the heart of Shimosuwa. In Shimosuwa Onsen, there is a public bathhouse in every direction of the station around 500 meters of northeast of the station. In the Suwa-jinja Shrine lower company, a shrine is it in approximately 300 meters of northeast, Crown Prince's Palace in autumn to approximately 700 meters of north, and there is the Lake Suwa to approximately 700 meters of south, too. In addition, there is Shimosuwa-machi government office to approximately 200 meters of south of the station.
