Kaijo-gun
County area
The county area that started as a jurisdiction in (1878) in 1878 at the time is almost the following areas.
- Most of Choshi-shi (except Tomikawa-cho, Moritocho and to the north)
- Most of Asahi-shi (it includes Akita, 萬力, rice except Nyuno, Sekido, Manzai and to the north and Idono, Kawaguchi, Izumikawa, Komagome, Otsukahara, sickle number, Shinmachi)
The area that it merged with Sosa-gun is called 海匝 and put Katori-gun together and may be called 香取海匝.
History
I read formerly with "うなかみ" county, but I distinguished it from Kaijo-gun (Shanghai Kamigori) of the Kazusa country and was called lower Kaijo-gun. The reading called the "かいじょう" county came to be carried out later, and "かいじょう" county was assumed how to read formula after the war.
It was organized around a domain of 下海上国造. The domain of 下海上国造 included a part of Sosa-gun, Katori-gun and Kashima-gun, but it is done a county-based Sosa by the success that conquered Bando of the court official trifle, and it is said that it is done a county-based as Kangoori of Katori major shrine and the Kashima major shrine Katori, Kashima, and land adjustment was cut. - Feudal clan territory becomes the jurisdiction of Sakura prefecture, Omigawa prefecture, straight fruit prefecture, Takasaki prefecture, the Annaka prefecture by - establishment of prefectures in place of feudal domains (August 29, 1871) on July 14.
- The jurisdiction of Takasaki prefecture, the Annaka prefecture becomes the jurisdiction of Gunma by - first prefectures unification (December 10, 1871) on October 28.
- The whole area becomes the jurisdiction of the Niihari prefecture by - first prefectures unification (December 25, 1871) on November 14.
- It becomes the jurisdiction of Chiba by - second prefectures unification (1875) on May 7 in 1875.
- Kaijo-gun as the jurisdiction starts by the enforcement in Chiba of the - township municipalities organization method (1878) on November 2 in 1878. "The marine Sosa-gun government office" is established in Choshimachi and has jurisdiction with Sosa-gun.
