"A dress of the flower design" is a girls' comic work by Megumi Mizusawa. I was placed in June, 2001 issue of "りぼん original" (Shueisha), August issue, December issue, the February, 2002 issue. Comics is all one volume.

The work which I described love and the friendship and the study for examination of the chief character of the ninth grader in. Sakamoto of the classmate likes 歩果 of the chief character. The relation was good so as to be hot, and to be able to exchange opinions by a joke each other, but went only as far as a friend without being able to confess. However, 歩果 which thinks that Sakamoto may go out with Sari because Sari of the friend of the pretty classmate gets along well with Sakamoto. Furthermore, Sari has taken a boyfriend of another person away from people at the age of a first grader, and 歩果 and a rumor to have possibilities to be going to force relation to separate of Sakamoto enter this time. However, 歩果 thinks that Sari is not a child doing something like that and believes Sari. However, the doubt for Sari of 歩果 becomes bigger because various haps were piled up. Still 歩果 is going to believe Sari. However, I vent one's true intention in front of one of Sari and Sakamoto at last, and the truth is told by Sari and Sakamoto, and it is revealed that it was one's misunderstanding and I apologize to Sari and am reconciled. And I pass the school of choice and can become a lover with Sakamoto.
Character
- 小山歩果 (Koyama sweetfish)
- A chief character. A ninth grader. The club activities are track and field club. The girl who is spirited, and loves friend, and is forward. I admire the pretty dress like the girl whom I saw in a shopwindow on a day of the opening ceremony of the third grade at a junior high school, but think that oneself does not look good with such a pretty dress because oneself does not seem to be a girl. There is witnessed in Sakamoto and thinks the place where oneself who does not seem to be a girl admires the dress like the girl to be ashamed to be seen. I know that the school of choice of Sakamoto is School A, and oneself wants to go to School A because I want to go to the high school same as Sakamoto. However, it is said that School A changes the school of choice from a teacher in difficult one by the results of 歩果 at a considerable barrier. While I run a cheering party at an athletic meet with Sakamoto and Sari and pass a summer course, there is a various event and misunderstands it when Sakamoto may keep company with Sari. Furthermore, from Miki, it is said, "there is the rumor that took the boyfriend of the friend at the age of a first grader, and Sari may be going to take Sakamoto away this time". However, "Sari should not be a child doing something like that", and 歩果 believes Sari. However, various events occur at the same time afterwards, and it becomes strongly suspected that Miki may be right. Still 歩果 is going to believe Sari. However, after being going to cover sleeping Sakamoto with a cardigan, at the time of excursion, I pass and hit one's true intention on Sari in the place where Sari came over to with a cardigan. However, in fact, all the various things know that it was one's misunderstanding by chance and misunderstanding to hear the truth from Sakamoto and they apologize to Sari and are reconciled with Sari. I concentrate on examination towards School A and decide it afterwards to confess it to Sakamoto if I pass it. In summer vacation, 歩果 and Sari and Miki and Watanuki go to the summer course of the private supplementary school, and a case happens in various ways there. Results of the study are considerably always excellent and pass School A of the school of choice which is a barrier school in room. I am careful with the hand-knitted muffler of the grandmother, and there is the place where loves its family. - Sari Aida (あいださり)

Then I could make friends with 歩果 and was glad because a friend was not able to do it all the time. I take it to lend the cardigan to 歩果 on an excursion, but there is Sakamoto there and misunderstands 歩果 when Sari brought a cardigan to Sakamoto. Therefore Sari who heard the true intention of 歩果 talks about the truth of the conventional event and solves misunderstanding of 歩果 and is reconciled. The results are good and pass School A easily. When I knew the pass of 歩果, I was pleased to shed tears.
- Miki
- A friend of 歩果. It is track and field club as well as 歩果. The class is different. 歩果 did not say that I said that oneself liked Sakamoto to Miki, but Miki noticed that 歩果 liked Sakamoto. Furthermore, Miki noticed that Sakamoto liked 歩果. I noticed that the reason why Sakamoto made fun of 歩果 was that surely I liked 歩果. And I suggest to 歩果 to confess it to Sakamoto. When Sakamoto makes friends with Sari, I recommend it when you should confess 歩果 to 歩果 not to have Sakamoto stolen by Sari many times. In addition, Sari teaches the rumor that took the boyfriend of the friend at the age of a first grader in 歩果 and worries when I may be going to take Sakamoto this time.
- Naito (mind)
- The class teacher of the class of 歩果. Process of the birth of this work
In fact, this work was going to become the totally different work. Mizusawa thought about a story concerning the four times serialization by "りぼん original" and drew the notice cut, but knew that there was the work of similar contents by a TV drama to begin at the same time at that time. Therefore I decided to reconsider a story from the beginning after I was considerably troubled and I described it in a hurry and changed the notice cut (the girl drawn on the notice cut of the perilla does not appear in the work). It was in condition that there was not the story at all although I selected only a title as "the dress of the flower design" first of all. Furthermore, when this serialization begins, bimonthly work is fixed in "Cookie" ("a music box of God"), and it was considerably severe in terms of time, but it is said that I thought about contents from a title first of all.
At first I decided to put an every time clothes-involved episode because a title contained the word "dress". And because it was serialization four times, I distributed each time in winter in spring, summer, autumn and decided to take in the event in a season in each time. It is the work which I make anything suddenly like that from the few place and gave, but it is said that Mizusawa is a considerably favorite work. 小山歩果, Tatsuya Sakamoto, the relations of Sari Aida float extremely naturally and were easy to create each character and were able to have attachment to these three people very much, and it is said that supporting role characters such as Watanuki like it. It having been pleasant to think about the episodes such as a dress, a T-shirt, a cardigan, the muffler which pointed each time. Serialization of the "りぼん" this magazine is contained on the way ("the jewel of the strawberry") and time was over four times serialization, but states that it is the work which is all the more more memorable among oneself for the feeling that even the private life may be various, and is an uproar. The title of each time and the events of the time are as follows. Each time becomes the name called "Vol.1" "Vol.2" not a name called "Episode 1" "Episode 2".
