The village where Ueno-mura (うえのそん) was in Miyakojima of Okinawa. It merges with Hirara-shi, Gusukubecho, Shimojicho, Irabucho on October 1, 2005 and it becomes Miyakojima-shi and abolishes it. The village office was put in character Ueno and became the Miyakojima-shi government office Ueno Government building after a merger.
