Tsuneko Kumagai

Tsuneko Kumagai (a bear when cat, from January 28, 1893 to September 30, 1986) is a Japanese calligrapher.

Career

I am from Kyoto. A grandchild of Tenko Ema. I get married in 1914 and move to Tokyo. After having studied under Saishu Onoe in 川北桜嶼, 1930 in 1928 [1], I learn a kana letter from Okayama high shade from 1931 and study old handwriting of the Court of Heian Period independently and open the original state. In a work "The Pillow Book" "Manyoshu tanka collection 31-syllable Japanese poems." A prize is won with "Tosa diary" very much Tonichi in 1933. I teach Daito Bunka University from Nitten judge, councilor, 1967. I am presented with 勲四等宝冠章 in 勲五等宝冠章, 1980 in 1967.
