Thomas ヒンマン Morar (Thomas Hinman Moorer, from February 9, 1912 to February 5, 2004) is an officer, a general of the United States of America Navy. I took office as the 18th American Chief of Naval Operations and the seventh American Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Career
I enter Naval Academy at Alabama mount we ring in birth, June, 1929 and I graduate in June, 1933 and get on board "CA-25 Salt Lake City" after second lieutenant appointment and work as a gunnery officer. I complete the education as the navy pilot in Pensacola navy air base in 1936 and "CV-1 langley" is "CV-2 Lexington" and works as the carrier-based plane crew by "CV-6 enterprise" for a short term afterwards until August, 1939 from duty, July, 1937.
I worked in the tenth 艦載航空団, but, in the case of the Pearl Harbor attack of December 7, 1941, was in the field. I am dispatched in the southwestern Pacific and, after the outbreak of war, participate in an orchid mark war, and PBY where I boarded is shot down in the Darwin (the Northern Territory) north on February 19, 1942. On the same day, I am rescued by sailors attacked and sunk by the Japanese military. I returned and made a round trip to the aviation transfer line that linked the orchid mark to northern Australia again afterwards in PBY of demilitarization, the low speed. I return to the mainland U.S. in July, 1942 and am dispatched in the U.K. for a short term. And it is located in the Key West navy air base as the 132nd bomb run captain and is active in Cuba and Africa.
I serve as a gunnery tactics staff officer in the Atlantic air force headquarters from March, 1944 to July, 1945. I am assigned to the strategic bombing investigating group vs. the Japanese group in navy Directorate of Operations from August, 1945 to May, 1946 and am engaged in question duties from Japanese administration official. Two years later, I work at navy plane weapon station experiment station in the Virginia Shinko Teague Island.
"CV-41 Midway" gets on board it from July, 1948 to November, 1949 and works later at navy weapon station experiment station in California インヨカーン in Atlantic fleet fourth aviation squadron staff officer, August, 1950.
I take office as the "AV-13 Salisbury sound" captain in aviation charge aide, July, 1956 working under Secretary of the Navy in May, 1955.
In July, 1957, I am promoted to a major general and become navy Directorate of Operations strategy Planning Department special adviser. A map maneuver charge staff officer working under Operation navy vice-chief works afterwards in Part 6 from January 1, 1958 to July, 1959.
I take office as the seventh commodore from October 13, 1962 to June 15, 1964 and take office as the Commander United States Pacific Fleet from June 26, 1964 to March 30, 1965. I take office as the commander-in-chief of Atlantic forces and the Atlantic fleet commander in chief and the NATO Atlantic Allied Forces Commander in chief on April 30, 1965.
On June 3, 1967, I am nominated for the next Chief of Naval Operations by President Lyndon Johnson, and the 18th Chief of Naval Operations takes office on August 1, the same year. There were intensification and a liberty case of the Vietnam War during term in office. I am nominated for Chairperson next unification staff officer on April 14, 1970 by President Richard Nixon and am appointed in the Upper House on June 17, the same year.
I retire on July 1, 1974.
On February 5, 2004, I die in Bethesda navy medical center.
