Texel or テッセル ([help / file] hearing 422 Texel.oggpronunciation Texel, Texel dialect Dutch Tessel) the basic local government (ヘメーンテ transcribes it in this report for convenience as follows with "a city") in the State of North Holland of Netherlands. An area is the largest in west fleece Lunt Islands floating in the Wadden Zee, and it is from the Texel island where there is much population in and the Nord Dell Haack island of the uninhabited island. I am located at the west end of the archipelago, and free-lance Lunt Island is to the north. X is used in spelling, but it is SS and reads the pronunciation with Texel from old days. It is a trace using X as a logotype of the SS. I may be transcribed into a texel in Japan.

In the sand belt of Texel, unique wild ecosystem is kept. In winter in particular, it becomes Raptores and the wintering place of the goose. Therefore, a one-third of the island is appointed as a nature reserve.

History

Texel and the Vee phosphorus gene which faced each other across the Mars deep straits in an early medieval period led population more than now.

Texel was rolled up in war three times in the past. It is sea fight (the first Anglo-Dutch war) of スヘフェニンゲン of 1653, sea fight (third next Anglo-Dutch war) of the Texel Island of 1673, a Georgian captive revolt of Texel of 1945 (World War II). In addition, it is Texel Island offing in 1940, and the tragic incident of Texel where a battleship, a destroyer of the British navy during a military manoeuvre suffered serious damage including the sinking by most moving passage thunder (touching an underwater mine) is famous.

The Texel Island got the city right in 1415. I consisted of Texel Island and two islands called Eierlant connected at a sandbar then, but it was in one by a reclamation in the 17th century. The Texel Island becomes the very large natural breakwater lying between the North Sea and the Wadden Zee now.
