Characteristic
I have it cramped according to the name, but there are a purple thing and a green kind. A flower is beautiful, and the purple thing (called a red stem class) is often cultivated for admiration. Light red, the fruit are purple, and the flower includes one seed.
Use
I make a leaf and a stem edible. The unique slime which the taste was similar to spinach, but resembled a molokheiya a little is sticky. I call it Jew's-ear greens (ムーアルツァイ), 潺菜 (Cantonese サーンチョイ) with Chinese food and fry it and often get it. Because juice may turn red when a string fries the purple thing, I am called the crimson greens (イエンジーツァイ) in Chinese. I call it a mon toy (Vietnamese: mồng tơi) by the Vietnamese food and will often have an ingredient of the soup.
It is cultivated with the Japanese food mainly in Okinawa and I am called じゅびん (ground rouge) and am recognized to be one of Shimano greens. I am used as boiled greens with dressing and miso soup にしたりじゅーしーの spice.
Nutritive value is high and is superior to spinach. I include vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, iron a lot so many. It is cultivated in Japan and can harvest it as an annual plant if I sow a seed in spring.
Rise in blood sugar level inhibitory activity by the absorption restraint of glucose in the small intestine was recognized in スピナコシド (spinacoside) and Vasella saponin (basellasaponin) of the Malabar nightshade [1].
Production center
I cultivate it around Miyagi, Fukushima, Yamagata, Saitama, and the thing of the good mainly green kind of the seasoning is shipped now.
