John jar day

The John jar D (Jon Jerde, from January 22, 1940 to February 9, 2015) is an architect of the United States of America.

The John jar D was born in Illinois, but the breeding, the family repeated moving in a poor family. For infanthood, I collect junk thrown away, and it is said that I make a building in a backyard and played alone. I learned engineering and art first in the University of California, Los Angeles because it was objected to father in becoming an architect. The president of the University of Southern California which came to the building site of the part-time job once saw the design sketching that he described and was impressed very much and I got a scholarship and admitted you into University of Southern California and majored in architecture.

I work after graduation from university in the building office and come to deal with a lot of designs of the shopping center of the suburbs city. The design of the Horton plaza is asked California, the San Diego city for in 1977 by a major developer. The Horton plaza gained big success commercially and dealt with the design of commercial facilities such as city planning of the Los Angeles Olympics (1984), lacing braid of United States, フレモント street experience, ベラージオ, Canal City Hakata, grand park Otaru, Dentsu headquarters building, Namba parks, Roppongi Hills, la チッタデッラ afterwards.

He suffered from a cancer and Alzheimer's dementia and died at home of Brentwood of Los Angeles City on February 9, 2015. It was 75 years old.
