Hilo (Hawaii)
Hilo (British: Hilo) is greatest local government area in Hawaii Island in coast city of United States of America Hawaii. According to the national census as of 2000, it is all-out a population of 40,759 people.
Hilo is county seat of the Hawaiian county and is located in the south Hilo district of the East Coast. Hilo is a harbor city of the Hawaiian Islands second next to Honolulu and is known as a resort with kona of the Hawaii Island West Coast.
There is not the established theory, but is told that I would be named for "the first night of the new moon" or "a Polynesian voyager" about the place name. Hilo is known as an estate of several thousand kinds of orchids, and there is the nickname of "the town of the orchard" or "the center of the Hawaiian orchid". A lot of Japanese-people live, too, and there are リリウオカラニ park and Honolulu Park known as the Japanese garden in the city, too.

Tsunami
For the structure of the gulf and the geographical relations from the offing of South America, I often encounter the damage of the tsunami. The thing which tsunamis were more than as folklore over a mountain is left. I observed a tsunami of 10.5m 15 hours after a main shock, and 61 people died of the earthquake in Chile in 1960. The warning was given five hours before arrival estimated time, but, as for the tsunami, many victims appeared to the sightseer who was convinced that own place was safe to come over from the southeastern direction with Chile which was the epicenter. Because the wavelength of the tsunami was extremely long by the earthquake in Chile, the tsunami rounded it from behind.
