Hanjiro Furukawa (falling river Hill Jiro, Ansei November 4, 5 [1] (December 8, 1858) - 1941 (1941) March 2 [2]) is a Japanese railroad bureaucrat. Doctor of engineering 錦鶏間祗候 [2].

Career

I was born in Sanuki country Shiaku Hiroshima (Marugame-shi, Kagawa Hiroshima-cho) as the second son of Yamaguchi good luck Juro and became an adopted child of uncle Shohachi Furukawa (Shogunate Netherlands foreign student) [1]. I graduate from (1884), an official in charge of building college in 1884 [1]. I entered the Railway Bureau and acted as railroad work station Hachioji branch office director [1] and was engaged in the design of the Sasago tunnel [3]. I was in charge of the technical administration of the Kiyoshi Azuma railroad southern part line as a part-time service engineer during Russo-Japanese War [3]. I came back to the railroad work station after south Manchurian railroad start and successively held House of railroad engineer, Mayor of central part Railway Bureau, a chief engineer, a director of Engineering Department [4]. I was selected as (1913), Vice President ex-Emperor railroad in 1913 [5] and served as the transportation chief of the bureau [5].

After having retired from it in (1917) in 1917, I acted as Kongosan electric railroad directors Co., Ltd. [6]. It was ranked a command (1918) in 錦鶏間祗候 on June 21 1918 [7].
