ヴェシ group

ヴェシ family (Russian :Весь) is an agricultural people of the fin system incorporated in the Kiev grand duke country after the ninth century [¹]. I was derived from a person from ヴェプス and some Karelian and was as a place of residence in an area of ラドガ lake, オネガ Lake, ベロエ neighborhood of the lake side and the southern part.

It is the first inhabitant of ベロオゼロ, and, in "a genesis chronicle," the military of オレグ increases it with a ヴァリャーグ and other fins system tribe (チュヂ group, メリャ group), Slav system tribe (クリヴィチ group, スロヴェネ group) for thing [²], 882 years when it was under rule of Lord of Novgorod Ryurik, and it is described that I let リューベチ, Smolensk fall [³].

Archeological ヴェシ group

Archeologists usually connect a ヴェシ group, メリャ group with a historic spot of ヂヤコブスク culture (ru)^{[ note 3]} which existed in the northern part of Eastern Europe plain until 5-6 centuries.

In addition, Kurgan of the basin [^{note 4}] of rivers such as オヤチ river (ru) around ラドガ of 9-13 centuries and the connection with the ヴェシ group are often considered. Kurgan and the proof of the correlation with the ヴェシ group are based on the opinion that the place name in this area was named by ヴェプス word by the study of the name of the オヤチ river [⁵]. Kurgan does 5-12m in diameter, funnel form with the roundness of 0.6-3m in height. The inside reproduces a house by the placement such as a furnace or the kitchen utensil and regards this world as life after death as a thing with the consistency. In addition, with the corpse which I cremated, some articles of the Scandinavia origin are discovered.
