Background

It was the team which ブルン motor sports cooperated with euro racing in ユーロブルン, and was formed in 1987. Walter ブルン which it was a Swiss entrepreneur, and was the owner of ブルン motor sports supported a money side of the team, and euro racing was in charge of the technology development and the actual fighting participation. The euro racing was in charge of the development of ER188 again. The euro racing has been ever in charge of machine development and team administration on the occasion of three F1 of Alfa Romeo from 1983 through 1985. 1988 was the last season of the so-called turbo era. A powerful turbo car and a conventional normal aspiration car competed, but a small team and the new entry team which could not use an expensive turbo engine on a cost side used the normal aspiration. ユーロブルン belonged to such a team [1].

Development

ER188 was developed in Italy by an engineer of the euro racing. The chief designer is Bruno ザーバ and Mario トレンティーノ, and トレンティーノ designs Alfa Romeo, 184T before. They told that they were conventional [2], but, in owner of the euro racing, Jean Paolo パバネロ, the people thought a car to be outdated. ER188 closely resembled Alfa Romeo, 184T [3]. I had the similarities such as the real nose part and monocoque, roll bar, engine cover. Eddie Cheever whom it drove 184T to told that ユーロブルン, ER188 only repaired Alfa Romeo merely four years ago once [4]. Gunter Schmidt of the rial expressed a similar opinion, too [5]. It was the monocoque that the characteristic of ER188 was tall, and was bulky [6]. It was already rare at the size of the machine of the early 1980s in 1988 [7]. As for the suspension, a thrust, the rear were equipped with a tie rod the front desk. The engine carried Koss Worth DFZ which Swiss mer da racing components prepared. As for the transmission, ユーロブルン developed the sixth-speed gearbox made in Hugh Landes for the cause. In ER188, three were produced [8].

Race war record

1988

ユーロブルン faced it by two systems in a season in 1988. Oscar LARA gourd was appointed as the driver with Stefano Modena. It was a quiet, reliable start, but the team had a hard fight in a budget shortfall. The trouble in the team where ブルン exchanged it with LARA gourd in May, 1988 and was going to appoint Christian Danner of the German driver as occurred. This of Danner was too tall, and it was recognized that did not occupy monocoque of ER188, and did not come true. Modena used ER188-3 in the opening game from San Marino to Spain using ER188-1 and used ER188-1 again in Japan and Australia. ER188 was a failure and was not able to win the championship points. The main problem of the car was simple structure and was the design which was not refined [9]. In addition, behavior had a problem, and driving was difficult. Ralph Bellamy added a hand to a chassis in summer of 1988, but the effect was not achieved [10]. After the German grand prix, it was only once LARA gourd three times of Modena to have passed a qualifier. A driver did not have experience of the F1, and the staff was not well experienced equally, too. Many organized errors led to retirement and led to a qualifier omission. Modena was disqualified saying that I did not perform an examination for weight in third war Monaco. Because the rear wing of the Modena car was attached 4mm by the fourth war Mexico Grand Prix backward, I was disqualified [11], and mechanic forgot the equipment for special engine for the qualifier by the Belgium Grand Prix and failed in a qualifier with the both persons [12].

I appointed ファブリツィオ バルバッツァ as Formula One indoor trophy in 1988 when the team was performed by Bologna auto show in December after the season and participated in the war. バルバッツァ was defeated by Lewis Peres = Sarah of Mina Rudy in Round 1 [13].

1989

The repair that two ER188 was aerodynamic was given for ER188B 1989 and became ER188B. The engine carried Judd CV and used Pirelli tire. One team became the system, and Gregor Foitek of the rookie was appointed.

The Foy technique passed a preliminary qualifier in opening game Brazil, but failed in a qualifier. I was not able to pass a preliminary qualifier in other race.

ER189 of the succession that George Lleyton designed was spent by the German grand prix. ER188B was the vehicle which I failed in most in a season in 1989.
