Decatur county (British: Decatur County) is a county located in the southern part of United States of America Iowa. It was 8,457 people, and the population in the 2010 national census decreased from 8,689 people of 2000 by 2.7% [2]. County seat is a city of the population maximum in the county that is Leon city (a population of 1,977 people [3]). The Decatur county was established in 1846, and the county name was named for hero Steven Decatur of the U.S. and British war.
