ネクスコ
The nickname of three expressway companies where NEXCO (ネクスコ, Nippon EXpressway COmpany Limited) started by privatization of Japan Highway Public Corporation (JH) on October 1, 2005. I was named in April, 2006.
It is the list of three companies as follows.
- East Nippon Expressway (NEXCO East Japan)
- Central Nippon Expressway (NEXCO Naka Nihon): The research organization (central laboratory) succeeds, too
- West Nippon Expressway (NEXCO West Japan)
The settlement of accounts of the privatization first year achieved the black about 10 billion yen with three companies. Above all, NEXCO Naka Nihon that managed the Tomei Expressway, the Meishin Expressway, 3 routes (but it is not all sections) of Chuo Expressway had a biggest black width. Quantity of traffic increased on most expressways and made a brisk start for three companies.
A research organization (central laboratory) of NEXCO Naka Nihon separated on April 2, 2007 and became independent, and expressway synthesis institute of technology (NEXCO research institute) started afterwards as a research organization of three co-funding.
The logo mark that took "N" which is an initial of ネクスコ expresses the dynamism of the heart that it brings "to run on the way" at the same time to express the dynamism of the expressway continuing to the future by molding it three-dimensionally.
