Aldehyde dehydrogenase (pyrroloquinoline quinone) (aldehyde dehydrogenase (pyrroloquinoline-quinone)) is an oxidation-reduction enzyme catalyzing the next chemical reaction.
- Aldehyde + receptor + H2O Carboxylic acid + reduced form receptor
According to the equation, as for the substrate of this enzyme, aldehyde and water and a receptor, the product are carboxylic acid and reduced form receptors. I use pyrroloquinoline quinone as cofactor.
The organization name is aldehyde: In (pyrroloquinoline-quinone) oxidoreductase, another name has aldehyde dehydrogenase (acceptor).
