Hita prefecture (ひたけん) is the prefecture where it was installed in by the Meiji government to have jurisdiction over Shogunate territory of Buzen country and the Bungo country (current whole Oita and East Fukuoka), headquarters of a shogun territory in (1868) for 1,868 years. The jurisdiction was distributed in Buzen country, whole Bungo country, and the area distributed over the sun country (whole current Miyazaki) was admitted into later.

Masayoshi Matsukata and Hita prefecture

The riots in Hita were almost suppressed on November 21 four days after the first riot, but spread out in each place of Bungo, Buzen. The government dispatched Takauta Shijo to Hita on the watch for a large-scale musical performance and Bungo, Buzen, Chikuzen, the movement of the clansman of Chikugo that I knew after a disturbance, and Mamedacho was confused in the people concerned of various feudal clans called by a question [3]. To a person concerned with riot in the Hita prefecture, execution was carried out (1872) on February 27 in 1872.
