Unit of transport volume

A unit of transport volume (ゆそうりょうのたんい) is the unit that is used to express the transport volume that crossed the number of people (or weight) and the distance that means of transportation and vehicle carried.

Following two are usually used.

  • I crossed distance (km unit) that transported the number of person kilometer - travelers and the traveler. The transport volume that transported one traveler 1km is a one kilometer.
An example: When I transport three travelers 10km, it is three *10km = 30 kilometers.
  • I crossed distance (km unit) that transported tonnage of ton-kilometer - freight and the freight. The transport volume that transported freight of 1 ton 1km is 1 ton of kilometer.
An example: When I transport freight of 5 tons 30km, it is 5 tons of *30km = 150 tons kilometers.
