History
- It is de-centralized village, Syosanbetsu-mura, Tomamae-gun from the - Haboro, Tomamae-gun village (existing Haboro-cho) on June 7, 1900

The main industry is fishery. There are agriculture and the dairy farming, too and starts 新規就農者支援事業 in 2006.
The farm products of the special product include a lotus cup, a mini-tomato, and jam and syrup, the artefact of the lotus cup including the wine produce it, too. As for the marine products, globefish and an octopus go up, and the side soup which used a bone of the natural globefish for soup stock is devised as a special product. It produces it and, in the Syosanbetsu fishermen's cooperative association processing ground, sells a rice bran herring, a rice bran Atka mackerel, a vinegar cuttlefish.
