Satoko Sugizaki (すぎさきさとこ, from December 24, 1942 to July 20, 1997) is a fair sex shogi player (as for the old fair sex shogi player number 7), four steps of fair sex, a war correspondent of the shogi, a shogi lecture lecturer. I run "shop Satoko of the Japanese-Western style judgment" and run "a Satoko Sugizaki sum sewing class". "The sum sewing class" continued it until I died. I am from Saganosekimachi, Kitaamabe-gun, Oita (later a part of Oita-shi).

Brief career history
Encounter with the shogi
I am born in Saganosekimachi, Kitaamabe-gun, Oita (1942) on December 24 in 1942. As for father, Kizo Sugizaki, mother are Masako. The birthplace was well-established shop dealing in kimono fabrics "Hiranoya which lasted 300 years Co., Ltd.", but the high quality fabrics for kimono which "Hiranoya" sold over 1955 from the time when a foster child was born became unsuitable for the times, and the situation that came to have to take over the debt of the person in the same profession got up, and the birthplace of the foster child was forced to bankruptcy. In the impressionable times, I experienced the fall of the parents' house, but the forward, bright character did not change throughout the life.
I participate in "a miscontest" at the time of the Iwata school high part being on the register roll and won the championship at the meeting of Saganoseki-cho, but it is demanded from Naohiko Sugizaki of the oldest brother saying "never appear in the prefecture meeting because the Miss contest is connected for sexism" and contents myself with "a beautiful woman of the town first". I marry the man who was the friend of the oldest brother, but after having given birth to an only daughter, I fall sick and will send medical treatment life. It is a chance and will be driven into the divorce with employing a daughter in the husband's family.
After having passed through some jobs, I think, "I want to do proud sewing for work" and enter the clothing department of the Beppu girl junior college (renamed to the Beppu groove school junior college later). I continue studies while working and manage to reach graduation.
When I was young, the shogi was father and "the play" that I got close to with older brothers and a younger brother, but a piece was thrown away from Masako of mother after having gone on the elementary school saying "stop what let you do shogi among men". Thereafter, I loved 31-syllable Japanese poems deeply and lived a life to get absorbed in tea ceremony, flower arrangement, koto, chanting of a Noh text いなどの accomplishments like "a daughter" as good as versatile mother requested, but was strong most when there was "a shogi club" next to the bus stop which I used to go to the student teaching at the time when I went to the junior college and hit it.
I was apprenticed to three 尻武五段 after this, and life to incline the passion to a class and shogi both clothing department began.
I am from a fair sex pro shogi player to a war correspondent
After having left the junior college part, I complete a graduate course and work as "an assistant" in an old school. Because I became "a teacher", I make up my mind "to refrain from the shogi", but am absorbed in charm of "the shogi" again after resigning (1970) in 1970, and having opened "shop Satoko of the Japanese-Western style judgment" in Oita-shi.
In 1972, I become a "fair sex amateurs associate expert of the whole country" in succession for (in 1972 48 years) and two years for 1,973 years. It became the professional first class in (1975) in 1975 and became the first fair sex pro shogi player in Oita. I begin the activity as the shogi column war correspondent of local "Oita Godo Shimbun-sha" in (1969) in 1969 when I acted as an assistant in a junior college. "An attack" features the shogi and was the way of playing go that I point to the Japanese chess tactics to keep a castle stationary mainly and "attack without protecting it even if attacked by a partner", but retires myself from the active play in (1984) in 1984 [1]. It was death from suffocation due to aspiration-related pneumonia (as for the announcement edema of the lungs [1]). Age at death 54.
Just before the death, purchase "the upper floors" of "the high-rise apartment" which was to be built in Beppu newly; decide it, and seemed to have begun to talk to "my buying the sky when report the matter to a friend saying is saying decided it", and it is said, "was not felt including the sign of the death at all". It was "the sudden death that it was hard to accept" for many people who knew Satoko Sugizaki.
In the apartment in Oita-shi where I lived in, by witness "which Sugizaki dropped a shoulder suddenly when I walked alone before dying and often did it lonelily" was talked about.
Person
Because was not blessed with opponents of the shogi by the reason of being a woman in childhood, stood, and gave a child shogi game that led the whole country in 1977 [2]; (as for the sponsorship Oita Godo Shimbun-sha Corporation). Then it is 20 years later that it is hosted by Japanese Shogi Federation and runs a child shogi game.
In addition, I suggested "quite joint bean shogi player shogi meeting" and "quite joint throughout the prefecture job area opposition meeting" and carried out the role to open the foot of the amateur shogi in Oita. Particularly, I made a meeting meeting place "non-smoking" so that a child participated in a shogi meeting in peace and let I went, and consideration last for the details.
Even a shogi lesson brought up many pupils, but it is said that even a sum sewing class raised many pupils.
The foster child thought that it was that the most difficult work that I accomplished as a shogi person acted as the stagehand of "the fourth Ryuo round" third station which decided top of the shogi held as the Oita shogi alliance society chief director for the first time in Oita in (1991) in 1991. When the game of go of the meeting to decide "it is number one in Japan" had a general person watch a game in Oita-shi, I was selected, but the turnout was not necessarily good.
