When people began to go into the west to the west dozens of years after American War of Independence, reclaimed land began to be built along the branch of the Whitewater river, and a family of the Quakers came over to this ground from North Carolina in 1806. Therefore the headquarters and アーラムカレッジ of the Society of Friends joint meeting, facilities about the Quakers including the アーラム religion school are still in Richmond. National highway No. 40 was laid by the end of the 19th century and became the highway of the pioneer toward the west [7]. This way becomes a part of the whole country Expressway network now. Richmond is said to be the smallest community in the United States where an opera company and a symphony orchestra were based in. The Whitewater opera company stops activity, but the Richmond symphony orchestra moves into action now; of the town is proud.
