Kosho Otani (おおたにこうしょう) is a Buddhist priest of the Jodo Shin sect of Buddhism from to the Meiji era from last part of Edo era. The Buddhist name "嚴如" [1] (ごんにょ). An east Honganji 21st charges chief abbot [2]. The Sanomune Otani group pipe head.

Life
In this page, age is a calendar year. - I am born as (April 22, 1817 [3]), the second son of 東本願寺第二十代達如 on culture March 7, 14. I become an adopted child of Tadahiro Konoe.
- I am destroyed by fire in (1823), east Honganji, both halls for civil administration six years.
- I put up (1824), east Honganji, a temporary hall for civil administration seven years.
- I obtain it (1828) on March 18 for civil administration 11 years and save you. "逹住" gives its 諱 in a Buddhist name in an another name of the nobleman who erected a temple with "朗澄" "the House of soul feeling". I hold an additional position in the chief priests of Nagahama annex Odori temple and the gidayu reciter's book virtue temple according to Himeji.
