JP233

JP233

A small bomb, a mine dispersion dispenser [1] that JP233 was developed in the U.K. I am developed for runway control use for the Cold War period, and the actual fighting is used in the Gulf War.

Summary

It is elaborated a plan as a wide area control weapon to strike the air base of the Warsaw Treaty Organization forces in the 1970s and starts full-scale development in 1978 [2]. They were developed for a British and American air raider, but the U.S. forces withdrew from development in 1980 [2]. The development in the U.K. was continued and started deployment in 1986 [2]. トーネード IDS was equipped, and there was a deployment design to SEPECAT ジャギュア, Hawker Siddeley Harrier, and was a design to put on F-111 in the U.S. forces [1]; [2].

In the case of トーネード IDS, JP233 carries two engines in the lower body [2]; [3]. It is the tip and a large-scale dispenser of the cuboid system round at the corner, and 30 SG-357 runway attack bombs (26 kg) are stored in 215 HB-876 multi-purpose mines (2.4 kg), rear in the front part [2]. On the occasion of an attack, navigate it by low altitude invasion over an air base; spray each child bomb, mine at the same time while spending it [2]; [3]. In addition, each child bomb, mine slows down, and it is dropped by a parachute. In addition, after an attack, it is structure dumping a bomb storing department.

A bursting charge becomes double, and at first SG-357 makes a hole in the runway paving by a molding bursting charge and lets you usually enlarge it by a bursting charge afterwards. I usually in this way form bigger craters. HB-876 is the mine which is sprayed to interfere with runway repair work and is an interpersonal object combined use. I aim at the interference to a bulldozer for the repair. Because I have a time fuze, the removal work in the short time is not easy.

JP233 was used for military air base attack of the beginning of the game in Iraq in the Gulf War. The actual fighting injection was only the Gulf War and approximately 100 mind was used [4], but were not used when air base control of the beginning of the game was finished in [5], there. Might be said [2], but, actually, in this air base attack, there was not the body shot down at the time of an attack by JP233 [3] that トーネード IDS suffered big damage by anti-aircraft fire [2]; [6]. A mother ship navigates JP233 over an air base; because spend it, and is necessary, and the danger of the anti-aircraft fire damage is not avoided, make much of the safety of the mother ship, and a large size missile, gliding weapon having stands off characteristics has been used for a succeeding dispenser weapon.

In addition, JP233 was abolished when HB-876 was scrapped by 1999 by an antipersonnel mine prohibition treaty.
