Hakone (knead 1098 Hakone) is an asteroid of the asteroid belts. Okuro Oikawa discovered it in Tokyo Astronomical Observatory on September 5, 1928. In addition, max Wolff is Heidelberg four days later, and Grigory ネウイミン discovers it in Japanese hawfinch is independently each six days later.
It was named for Mount Hakone.
Occultation was observed in Tokyo in January, 2009.
