Former settlement 38th hall (きゅうきょりゅうちさんじゅうはちばんかん) is a landmark architecture in the former settlement of Chuo-ku, Kobe-shi, Hyogo. The number of "38" in the name means the division number of the foreign settlement times. Daimaru (existing Daimaru Matsuzakaya department store) of the department store owned it and was used as a warehouse of the Daimaru Kobe shop which was next to the north side and the west. I make use of the value of the building and am used as some stores now. It is one of the symbolic buildings where a former settlement is a chance to reproduce in "the town which seems to be Kobe most" in the 1980s.
