An island (ひのしま) is an island located northwest of young Matsushima of the Goto, Nagasaki chain of islands on a day. All of the islands belong to Shinkamigoto-cho, Minamimatsuura-gun, Nagasaki.

Geography
It is located off northwest approximately 1km of young Matsushima of Goto Islands and is connected by a bridge and a breakwater along fishing straight Urashima, Arifuku Island and an island from young Matsushima. It is high in the highest score with 244m (van Yano Pass) in spite of being a small island, and the most of the island are mountainous districts. The village is concentrated in the south shore, and the northwest shore facing the open sea becomes the cliff.
History
It was a strategic point of the traffic on the seas for a long time and was the port of call of an envoy to the Sui Dynasty, the envoy to the Tang Dynasty. It was thought that it was the port of call of the trader with the continent in the Muromachi era and prospered by fishery in the Edo era [2]. Population extremely decreased by the depopulation now, but was ever the center where a government office of ノ Shimamura was put on a day to assume the west of young Matsushima and fishing student Urashima, Arifuku island a governorate until (1956) in 1956. I am known as the island where wild deer (sika) inhabit a lot now.
Traffic
