Chigira Masahiro (ちぎらまさひろ, 1955 -) is a Japanese earth scientist. A specialty is geology, applied geology. Doctor of science。

In 1955, I am born in Fujioka-shi, Gunma. In 1980, I complete Masters degree course in Tokyo University graduate school science graduate course. Via Central Res. Inst. of Electric Power Industry Foundation, I teach the Disaster Prevention Res. Inst., Kyoto Univ. ground disaster study section from 1997. Japan Society of Engneering Geology's chairperson.

Japan Society of Engneering Geology prize is won in 1986 by "bedrock creep (one or two) of the crystalline rock".

Geological Society of Japan study prize for encouragement is won in 1989 by "example - of efflorescence - 新潟県更新統灰爪層 of the mudstone".
