The Bahamian national emblem (body of Bahamas occurs) is a crest of the independent country Bahamas in the West Indies. A shield is drawn on the center with a national symbol. The shield is supported in striped marlin and flamingos.
The upper part of the national emblem, the shield on the helmet are conches. The conch is drawn as a thing representing the life of various seas of Bahama Islands. When it is a symbol of Santa Maria of Christopher Columbus, I am informed the shield which a ship to navigate under the lower sun was drawn on as a symbol. The letter drawn on the bottom is a motto of the countries. It is a symbol of the nation-like animal, and a flamingo and the striped marlin supporting a shield show the earth and the sea each and show the geography of the island.
