Opening of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema

Article 3 Kawaramachi where Asahi, Kyoto Hall was

The Asahi, Kyoto hall building completed in Article 3 Kawaramachi in 1975 is Asahi, Kyoto Hall of the second generation. With the reconstruction of this building, Asahi, Kyoto cinema is opened on July 10, 1988. The owner of the building is Asahi Shimbun, but a Japanese Herald movie builds the movie theater, and cinema work to perform all from filmmaking to distribution, performance is in charge of administration [4]. I introduced 完全入替制 for the first time in a mini theater of Kansai [5] and prohibited eating and drinking in the hall and I completely prohibited smoking in the lobby and did it and started personality. The audience might be puzzled over these, but I was gradually accepted by the citizen of the town of the movie [5]. A lot of social group works showed as well as a pro-art work, and there was the visitor who arrived by trains from not only the Kyoto city but also other prefectures [4].

I published letterzine as information dispatch means [6]. Introduce the culture information such as music or the drama in addition to movie information in this letterzine; the column which depends to be over of the film critic is a publication. The opening screening work was "Roman Holiday" (director William Wyler) and "name of the rose" (director Jean = Jack Hanot). A mini theater is born in sequence in Kansai in 1988 through 1990, and name of a country playlet (Osaka, Nihonbashi), Umeda cinema (Osaka, Umeda), cinema ヴェリテ (Osaka, Umeda), Asahi cinema 3 (Kobe, Sannomiya), theatre Umeda (Osaka, Umeda) open it for Asahi, Kyoto cinema and the same period [7]; [1].

Closing and opening of the Kyoto cinema

The Kyoto cinema that Masako Kamiya let you open former manager of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema

The management of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema was the black, but the policy switch of the Herald group determined closing and closed at January 29, 2003 [4]. Closing was imminent, and "Wanda full life" (Manager Hirokazu Koreeda) was shown, and Manager Koreeda visited, too. A talk of Nagaharu Yodogawa who was Kazuo Miyakawa and the film critic who were a director of photography was carried out titled the finale plan "angel of the movie" on January 25 (talk in itself was performed in 1989, and, in the Yodo River, the Miya River dies in it in 1999 in 1998); [8]. I wanted to do the last screening work on the stage of Kyoto, and closing was regretted by the appreciative clapping by Sennojo Shigeyama of the Noh comedian who was "moving" (director Shinji Somai) [9] [10]. The mini theater in Kyoto-shi was only Kyoto Minami Hall of Kujo Omiya [1], and, by the closing of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema, Kyoto Minami Hall took a central role about the screening of the pro-art work [11].

The voice to spare the closing of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema for rose from the again [5] movie fans who were in Kansai [6] of the whole country as well as a movie fan of Kyoto. Masako Kamiya of the manager was the one who regretted closing, too and published holding and the letterzine of the screening society after closing [6]. For 7,000 people gathered for the signature in hope of the continuation of the Asahi, Kyoto cinema from Hokkaido to Okinawa [6]. Kamiya plays a key role and establishes a company in the second lunar month Co., Ltd. and explores the opening of the mini theater. On December 4, 2004 approximately two years after the Asahi, Kyoto cinema closing, Kyoto cinema was opened in commercial complex COCON KARASUMA of Shijo Karasuma.
