Amtorg
When I was established after a merger of Arco's - United States (1923) that was an American office of American firms Products Exchange Corporation (1919) and Arco in New York in 1924 by Armand Hammer, Amtorg (アムトルグ ぼうえきがいしゃ, Amtorg Trading Corporation, Amtorg) was representative first Soviet Union trade region in the United States. Amtorg served for a Soviet import and export company for the foreign trade in the United States through the times of the communist. It functioned as the front where Soviet Union secret intelligence service called GRU in the United States and OGPU moved into action [1]; [2]. Was person that was particularly important to Amtorg until Franklin Roosevelt approved the Soviet Union [3], and a permanent embassy was recognized in Washington D.C. without the Soviet Union being approved as for the early days by the United States [4]; [5].
