Allison (English: Allison) is the name of the green turtle bred in the sea turtle study protection center (Sea Turtle Rescue Center) of サウスパドレ island (English version) (south パドレ island) of United States of America Texas. I am known for the tortoise as the individual which attached an aid (one of the artificial fins) for the first time in the world to relax the disorder that I suffered in a body.

Brief career history

Three of them of the hind leg (fin) of left forepaw (fin) and right and left in total were discovered in all states that suffered a loss whether Allison was eaten in 2005 by a shark [1]. The length at the time of the discovery was 5 inches (approximately 12 centimeters); [2]. Allison is protected, and was treated, but there is only swimming to turn counterclockwise only in the right forepaw (fin); was in a condition, and a person must lift the breath to the surface of the water, and the normal life with the deep water tank was difficult [1]; [2].

The sheeter torr company (Sea Turtle, Inc.) which worked on the protection of the tortoise in 2008 got the cooperation of University of Texas veterinarian department and the medical department in reference to there being the example which touched a fin to the dolphin artificially, and a trial to attach an aid to all defective becoming poor legs (fin) of Allison performed it, but there was not the size that only supported a part artificially in the base of the defective fin, and did not succeed [3]; [2] [4].

I applied physics to row a canoe in 2009, and the second aid was tried [5]. After attaching the aid such as the long dorsal fin which was made of synthetic rubber called "neoprene" [3] or the rudder which had a long it to the back of the shell of Allison, I became able to swim straight than before so that the kite which touched a tail was stable [6] and became able to breathe on the surface of the water [5]. National Geographic informed, "I completely regained spirit" [3].

Allison is not returned to the sea. In conformity to a body, this is because it is necessary to change aids regularly to be brought up to 600 pounds in weight (approximately 270 kilograms). [1][5]
