2013 heavy snowfall

The 2013 heavy snowfall (energy 25 ねんごうせつ) is the snow damage that occurred (2013) (2012) in Japan over February in 2013 from December in 2012 (heavy snowfall). I am said to be the northeastern heavy snowfall (とうほくごうせつ). I treat it as heavy snowfall in a lump in this item in 2013.

Summary

It was record heavy snowfall around a Tohoku district Sea of Japan side inland.

Cause

The North Pole and a difference of the atmospheric pressure with the neighborhood in Japan become small than North Pole vibration having shown minus number like heavy snowfall (2005 (2005) from November to 2006 (2006) February) about the cause in 2006, and it is thought that a chill of the neighborhood of North Pole became easy to go south. This North Pole vibration released the very strong chill that accumulated suddenly (2012) near Siberia from about the end of October in 2012 (I refer to Siberia air mass). Furthermore, it followed that it pursued and made further attacks on the supply of the chill that prevailing westerlies meandered, and a chill became easy to flow near the Japanese Islands, and it followed that it brought a large quantity of snow on the Sea of Japan side of the North Japan that seawater temperature in northern Sea of Japan rose as for nearly 3 degrees Celsius with [1] from an average year in intense heat and warmth autumn of this age. Large snow fell with a North European part and a part of Mainland China with heavy snowfall of the North Japan, but a difference of the atmospheric pressure with the North Pole became small like North Japan on these continents. This abnormality cold wave continued until about the middle of April of (2013 (2013)) in the next year, and it followed that I pursued and made further attacks on increase of the quantity of snow of the North Japan in particular. Causes include that it was in a condition that a chill is easy to flow into the Japanese Islands with influence [2] such as the changes of a decrease in quantity of the sea ice of the Barents Sea and the flow axis of the Gulf Stream [3] like time of the heavy snowfall in 2006 this winter. But it was at the rare winter when I knew it (in east, West Japan from November four months) for three months though the weak El Nino that rather it was easy to be in a mild winter occurred as for the La Nina from the summer of 2012 without occurring, and low temperature continued it unlike winter of time and the last year of the heavy snowfall in 2006.
