Wilfrid Edward Francis Jackson (Wilfrid Edward Francis Jackson, from 1883 to 1971) is a proconsul of British Empire.

Political career

Jackson acted as the 23rd Mauritian governor-general from August 30, 1930 to June 7, 1937 [1]. A constitutional amendment was carried out in 1933 of the term in office, and Morris キュル (English version) formed the Labor Party (English version) which was the Mauritian first political political party in February, 1936. Jackson often left Mauritius due to the duties top. While Jackson was absent, Mauritian colony Director General Edward Walter Evans (English version) acted as representation [2]. Evans was from from April 7, 1936 to December 4, 1936 and June 7, 1937 to October 23, 1937 from September 3, 1934 to October 26, 1934 from August 24, 1932 to April 29, 1933 during the period when representation was left [3].

Jackson acted as Governor-General of U.K. territory Guyana from November 19, 1937 to November 7, 1941 [4] and acted as Tanganyika proconsul afterwards from June 19, 1941 to April 28, 1945 [5].
