Nagamachi Station (ながまちえき) is an East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) at 5, Nagamachi, Taihaku-ku, Sendai-shi, Miyagi and Sendai-shi subway station. The Sendai-shi subway station number is N 15.

Entry of route

Namboku Line of Tohoku Main Line of JR East and the Sendai-shi subway runs in it and becomes the junction station.

History

The ruins of a freight train switchyard, freight facilities are redeveloping it by the name of "Asutonagamachi" now. Match a high shelf of Tohoku Main Line with becoming it; in 2006 (2006) a new station building in the north side of the old station building a move elevated; became it, and approached it with subway Nagamachi Station. In the place where there was an old station building, it was in the municipal road [note 1] of up to six traffic lanes which bound "Asutonagamachi" of the east side and Nagamachi city area from western handed-down convention together.

The Akiu building stones orbit (Akiu electric railroad) did not run in it directly in front of Japanese National Railways, Nagamachi Station and I bent a course to the north side and put the south end of the former Nagamachi hotel, Sasaya highway [note 2] [4] by Oiwake and installed Nagamachi Station and was open until (1961) in 1961 from (1914) in 1914. I display a template

It is located under the municipal road running side by side with the west of the East Japan Railway Co. station. It is a station having island expression home one 2 line under the ground. The vice-station name "is before IKEA" (IKEA) (until March 31, 2020).

A concourse, the second floor under the ground are platforms the first floor under the ground. There are four places of doorways. The bus platform is installed only in JR Nagamachi Station (the west exit) except a municipal bus toward the Shiroumaru area before (I do not perform the entry of to subway Nagamachi Station except some systems including the maintenance of tracks in autumn now), and the transit of subway → bus was inconvenient a little, but the movement distance shortens to some extent because east exit bus pool started service (2008) from April 1 in 2008.

Around station

An active fault called "Nagamachi - Rifu Line" [12] went along the National highway No. 286 near station in the west, and supply of water was good for a long time and was a place with population cultivation. There were Michinoku Kokufu trace before Tagajo and estimated Koriyama remains on the east side of the station. また、江戸時代には、仙台城下町(現在の仙台市都心部とその周辺)と広瀬川をへだてて隣接する奥州街道(旧・国道4号)の長町宿が置かれた。

長町は1928年昭和3年)4月1日に仙台市と合併し、市内の南のターミナルとして市街地が形成された。江戸時代以来の旧・国道4号沿いが旧来型の商店街として賑わう一方、西側の仙台市営地下鉄の長町南駅方面がロードサイド店舗を中心とした新市街地を形成している。東側は長町機関区跡地で、仙台市と都市再生機構による駅隣接の市街地「あすと長町」の区画整理事業が行われており、当駅の高架化もこの事業に含まれている。これらが一体的に「長町副都心」と呼ばれている。

長町駅西口前は、中・高層のビルが多い市街地で、「たいはっくる」(31階建)がある。これは図書館・児童館・文化センターとショッピングセンターを下層階に、マンションを上層階に容れたもので、駅前でもっとも目立つ存在である。この「たいはっくる」の所在地には1997年平成9年)まで宮城交通長町ターミナルがあり、その前身は秋保電気鉄道の長町駅であった。

駅から西方には二本の道路が並行してのびる。北側は、秋保方面に向かう古い街道に由来する道路であり、南側は太白区役所に通じる広幅員の道路である。駅の南方に1km以上離れると工場が多く立地する。

2008年(平成20年)4月1日に駅東口及び西口駐輪場と、駅東口駅前広場が供用開始された。この際、宮城交通の西口側バス停名は、従前の名残で「長町ターミナル前」であったものを、市営バス側の名称に併せ、「地下鉄長町駅・たいはっくる前」に改称されている。
