Geography

It is located in the southwestern part of Kawagoe-shi. It is along a northwest national highway and touches it with the southern part and the western part to Fujikura becoming Ofukuroshinden and the islet enclave in Shinsayama, Sayama-shi close to Mihamiotsuka in the eastern part and the northern part. Because 1, Shinsayama lengthens into long pieces along the southeast road, I do not contact with southeastern Aoyagi, Sayama-shi. 1 is Kawagoe Sayama industrial area with a factory, physical distribution bases such as Mitsumura Printing, Tosho Printing, Komatsu Utility [²], and the residence population is 0 (as of January, 2010). The 2.3 chome is a residential area around Seibu Shinjuku Line Minami-Otsuka Station and commercial areas. There are many single dormitories such as companies having a factory in Kawagoe Sayama industrial area and company houses. In addition, National highway No. 16 goes along town area northwest edge. The nearest station of the railroad is Seibu Shinjuku Line, Minami-Otsuka Station in the ground.

History

I put (1966), larger section of a village Mihamiotsuka, Obukuro, Fujikura, Yamashiro, 増形 and Aoyagi, Sayama-shi admitted into together in 1966 and was established.

Seibu Shinjuku Line goes along the district in Tohoku from the southwest. In addition, there is the track of the Seibu cheap Hina line stopping along a boundary line with Mihamiotsuka at the east end of a district, but is in condition to have been cut apart at the positions equal to the railroad crossing.
