Kochia scoparia (a goosefoot, a scientific name: Bassia scoparia) is annual plant of the amaranthus バッシア genus. Another name, a broom cypress (broom cypress).

Several kinds including the Kochia scoparia were separated from a characteristic of the perianth among the バッシア genus at one time by Kochia scoparia genus Kochia (co-Kia). "スコーパリア" of the scientific name is will of "one of a broom form".

Characteristic

It is originally from Asia. The small stem such as the broom turns red with a characteristic in autumn, and the stem turns red equally, too. Halotolerance is high.
