Fujigaoka (wisteria establishes it) is a name of a street of Meito-ku, Nagoya-shi, Aichi. Zip code465-0032。

When this sees the total population of Fujigaoka as of May 1, 2012 with the population according to the town in Meito-ku in 1,349 people according to the statistics of Nagoya-shi, it is the 34th place in all 151 towns [1]. But when catch Fujigaoka as the wide area place name as an independent name of a street, and think including Fujimigaoka, Akegaoka, Tomigaoka constituting the same school district in a neighborhood; the population approximately 12,000 personality, this of the population of the whole Meito-ku quite a little under 10% of, hit it.

Geography

Fujigaoka is located in the eastern part of Meito-ku, Nagoya-shi. I contact with Toyogaoka in Akegaoka, Takayanagi-cho, one point on the northwest road in Oikemachi, the west in Fujimigaoka, one point on the southwestern road in Asahigaoka, the south in Tomigaoka, the east in the north. The city boundary with Nagakute City is near, too.

A hill about 100m above sea level such as Higashiyama hill and the Yagoto hill ranges in the eastern part of Meito-ku, Nagoya-shi and names the whole area where Fujigaoka is located generally with eastern hilly areas. This neighborhood is of high altitudes generally, and Fujigaoka is also constructed by a small hill. It is thought that a certain ups and downs topography of such Fujigaoka was formed by the erosion by the river drifting to the northern part of Fujigaoka such as Kikawa of incense Nagarekawa, wisteria which is the Yada River and the branch [2]. There is a certain hill at the position that is the highest at 75m above sea level and these outskirts in Akegaoka Park in the west of Fujigaoka Station, and an observation deck is established now. I diagnose this small hill as Mount Fuji in the past, and Fuji Asama Corporation is worshiped and can grasp influence of the mountain worship there [3]. It is rich, and, for another view, "Fujimori" (I refer to a clause of the history in this article) whom the place name called current Fujigaoka was derived from cut off the slightly elevated hill of the Akegaoka park "Fuji", and it is thought even if it comes from "the Fuji forest" which put "the forest" of the neighborhood together there [4].

In the neighborhood of Fujigaoka, a man-made reservoir for irrigation existed as a trace of the village life mainly on the agriculture innumerably. However, as for those most, relatively big things such as Akinori Pond only exist as a result that it was spent for a process of the land maintenance business. The land with Nagoya at the close position City Fujimori Junior High School becomes hollow than the outskirts from Fujigaoka Station, and altitude is low, but this is because this was a reservoir once. The outskirts are named Oikemachi to keep the memory as the former irrigation place [5].

As for the vegetation around Fujigaoka, the trace was seen in the wild boar high green tracts of land now, but in the first place a natural wood was comprised by the shrubs such as the willow oak chinquapin co-Japanese oak black alder, and a black pine cedar hinoki planted artificially there created 加 わえられ, the scenery of hilly areas [6]. Furthermore, the whole area of such a hill was covered with turf and was felled as precious fuel of farmers [7]. However, it is rare that I see such a vegetation in the block of current Fujigaoka, and a roadside tree maintained with city planning, the cherry tree which, in particular, is represented by a Yoshino cherry tree are frequent. For the scenery of this cherry tree, "cherry tree Festival" is held now by Fujigaoka center mall in the beginning of April.

In addition, refer to an article of Aichi for the details about the topography including the geological feature about Meito-ku, the climate.

Fujigaoka as the current city is located in the node of the traffic to bind the downtown area and the suburbs such as Fujigaoka Station of Nagoya municipal subway Higashiyama Line and LINIMO and the Tomei Expressway Nagoya Interchange together. From this, only as a bedroom town of Nagoya-shi, I play role that is important as the node where a human being moves to from Nagakute City and Nisshin-shi, the east suburbs area such as Owariasahi-shi to the downtown area of Nagoya-shi, and the downtown around the MaxValu and restaurant street is formed at the station square. In Fujigaoka, only four places are appointed in this way in the street smoking cessation district that there is not in Nagoya-shi with Sakae, excellent station, Kanayama district probably because many human beings pass the residence, stay [8].

History

Platform of Fujigaoka Station

Fujigaoka is a town born by a name of a street change by the disposal of replotting of the Fujimori eastern part land adjustment association area carried out on July 30, 1970 [9]. I am known as the location of Fujigaoka Station now. Fujigaoka Station of the Nagoya municipal subway started a business on April 1, 1969, and Fujigaoka Station of Aichi Rapid Transit Tobu Kyuryo Line (LINIMO) started a business on March 6, 2005.

I cannot regard the history before reaching current urbanized Fujigaoka as the opening of business of two railroad stations mentioned above a limit apart. In the neighborhood whole area, the village was sparse at the forest so that a citizen of hometown thought, "a subway comes in such a mountain" when a subway station started a business among other things [10].

Because it was the land which had a hard time for the irrigation to the fields because of bad the plateau topography of high altitudes although the village which lived by agriculture from ancient times existed in this area, the scale was extremely small. Newly reclaiming a rice field came to be carried out flourishingly in the Edo era, and it was opened, but one of the origins of the place name of current Fujigaoka and Fujimori Nitta where it was did not advance to the cleaning too much because of the land of the after all mountain hill [11]. However, the agricultural production that many marshes and ponds used as irrigation water can endure a drought because it was arranged restoration again by the Edo Shogunate and Owari feudal clan is enabled, and it is informed by those days it to have been a trigger to promote the domiciliation of the farmer [11].

Triggered by Nagoya prefecture being abolished in 1872, and Aichi having been born, in this area, the reorganization of the large-scale area was carried out. Furthermore, the whole area of the Fujimori village including the area called current Fujigaoka will be called Inokoishi-mura, Aichi-gun when Nagoya-shi was made based on municipal organization municipality organization in 1889. It was merged with an adjacent village, and Inokoishi-mura became wild boar Takamura afterwards in 1906 because the government promoted the merger policy of the local government [12].

After all, in wild boar Takamura born in this Meiji era, the life that assumed agriculture not to change from it past a base was run. As for the crops, the smoke herbs were produced as well as the United States, wheat, a sweet potato, vegetables from the Edo era, too. However, a monopoly system of the government will have its cigarette stolen before long and is recorded when the farmhouse to cultivate disappeared by about 1943 [13]. The sericulture was carried out elsewhere in most farmhouses, too, but a feature was hardly seen in this by about 1945 by having given priority to food production [14]. In this area, the plundering from the innumerable tenants by several lairds was carried out, and a difference of the poverty and wealth was intense, but the standard of living was averaged by agrarian reform in 1947. The things working for a thing, the government offices which go to a factory and the store in Nagoya-shi for work with the development of the postwar commerce and industry at the same time increase, and regional economy not to gradually depend only on agriculture will be formed [15].

The current Fujigaoka whole area that was hills and fields would be gradually maintained as a city area, but it was determined moving of, urbanizing it by wild boar Takamura having been complicated with Nagoya-shi on April 5, 1955 and was ever accelerated again in this way. This merger called 2-3 months is extremely gathered during a short term, and, even as for the investigation to a villager, it is said that all the members were agreeable. When the backgrounds where this merger was promoted unconditionally include that a city bus arrives at Nagoya-shi in what is incorporated, and the convenience to transportation is improved,,, besides, "there was a thing such as the admiration for a merger", people concerned at the time talk [16]. As a result of this merger, wild boar Takamura becomes the Chikusa-ku wild boar high town and is incorporated in Nagoya-shi as not only the regional economy but also a governorate, and water and sewage,, besides, much municipal management houses will be maintained. Population of Nagoya-shi breaks through 2 million people in about 1969, and the wild boar high town will take the role as the eastern bedroom town in this way.

As for the land readjustment business pushed forward in this area, two of the plan to develop land for plan that could continue agriculture after the leveling of ground and all as residential land were thought about, but plan was chosen the result that "thought about how life became rich in the people at the time naively", latter residential land [17]. The agriculture as the occupation will be lost in this way from this area. But things commuting to the inner city increase and have that a successor disappeared in many farmhouses pointed out by other people concerned in this connection when it is thought as the factor that promoted land readjustment as the residential land [18]. I found a relatively wide road so that I took the motorization which moved rapidly into account in the land readjustment after the 1960s, and a car could be in all residential land [19].

Besides, in such a series of flows, setting approximately continues establishment of Fujigaoka Station with the extension of subway Higashiyama Line of 1969 Nagoya interchange of the Tomei Expressway in 1968 for the same period, and, in the Fujigaoka whole area of the wide area, urbanization will progress rapidly as a doorway east only as a bedroom town of Nagoya-shi. Many apartment houses built by the Japan Housing Corporation including the Fujigaoka city area house were built in Fujigaoka [20].

As a result, a town called Fujigaoka will be created in 1970 as wrote down in the beginning, but the name of a street comes from, "I take "wisteria" of larger section of a village Fujimori and am the location of terminal Fujigaoka Station of the high speed railroad" [21].

Because the eastern part of Chikusa-ku independently separated it with remarkable increase of the population as Meito-ku in February, 1975, I change position from Chikusa-ku to Meito-ku and reach Fujigaoka at the present [22].

"Fujigaoka" of the name of a street and "Fujigaoka" of the subway station name were mismatched for notation, but agree that a station name was renamed in "Fujigaoka" on October 6, 2004 now for a long time. However, it becomes "Fujigaoka" to a name of a street when I see the reputation around the station (former), and the thing that it is for a station name in total in "Fujigaoka" is mixed. It may be said that this is a trace indicating the history of Fujigaoka.
