Than the "ring first volume first book of 絵入智慧"

"Ring (えいりちえのわ) of 絵入智慧" is a textbook, teaching materials book of the elementary course published from 1870 through 1872 in Japan of the Meiji era beginning. I wrote the sentence that Masao Furukawa wrote by a writing brush of the Mt. Kaede Uchiyama, and Hatta cloudlet wrote an image. The publisher is Kashichi Okadaya. All eight books. Of these, about two books which I did mainly on a picture, I am said to be the picture book in the first Japanese modern times that are different from an illustrated book from the Edo era qualitatively.

There is a page of the multicolored printing to xylograph, Japanese bookbinding, the copy. All eight constitution is as follows.

Of these, two top and bottom of the first volume added words (word) mainly on a picture. After having shown the face of the hiragana letter by the Japanese alphabet, a table, the table of the variant form of a kana character of fuzz (voiced consonant) in the first book, set the words that it is beside "dog" "ro" "bee" "firefly" "snakes" "to take it", and the first character raises a cut in the Japanese syllabary order; in each of a hiragana letter and the kanji named it. There was not the idea that was going to let a child get close to a letter in a book of the writing practice from the Edo era by setting it beside a picture. The "ring first volume of 絵入智慧" becomes the father of a certain modern knowledge picture book, and it is these two books that is preached with "the starting point of the history of picture book of modern Japan" [¹]. However, there is not the consciousness to make a picture book to a producer, and it may be said that the educational consideration that is going to let you learn because even a system is brief let you take the same form.

(1870) was still the time of the private elementary school of the Edo period education for 1,870 years when publication was started. When a study system was promulgated in (1872) in 1872, and an elementary school was made in the whole country from the next year, the "ring first volume of 絵入智慧" was appointed in one of the textbooks of the elementary course in the Ministry of Education [⁴]
