A race of テュルク where the Volga Tartar (Volga Tatary pitches a camp Идел-Уралтатарлары) lives in the Volga Kawanaka basin (the イデル = Ural district) of Russia origin. I form Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation. It is the greatest group, and it is merely often said with "a Tartar" in Tatary and テュルク system races to be distributed over from the Siberia to the Eastern Europe named generally. I live in capital Kazan of Tatarstan, and the group which built Kazan Kahn country historically is called the Kazan Tartar (Казантатарлары) in particular.

Summary
The Volga Tartar is a race living in each place of the Russian Federation led by Republic of Tatarstan. The statistical total population has population of the second place next to the Russian in approximately 5,500,000 people in Russia after the Soviet Union collapse. But, in statistics, it is not numerical value of Volga Tartar alone because all the Tartars except the Crimea Tartar include it as "a Tartar" same as Volga Tartar.
Among a population of 3,800,000 people of Republic of Tatarstan, a little over 50% are Tartars, and Tatarstan is the influential federation constitution main constituent having particularly high economic power, a political influential voice in the non-Russian racial countries of the Russian Federation.
The Tartar is based on a Muslim of the Sunni. It is difficult to attach the distinction with the Russian by appearance in a real Caucasoid for a foreigner for the form and essence.
History
Originally it is about the seventh century that a race of テュルク origin flows into the Volga district where a race of fin ウゴル origin was the main constituent. A bulldog girl of テュルク which formed a nomadic country these days in the area of the Black Sea northern coast from the Sea of Azov northern coast origin was divided and the people who did 西進 built the Bulgaria empire in the Danube basin and made it a Slav, but clothes belonged to pro-テュルク which the people who did Toshin settled down in the flexion of the Volga Kawanaka style, and enlarged power in the founding of a country, the Volga lower part of a river basin in the kingdom called the Volga bulldog girl nomadic country ハザール. Because a south grassy plain zone became the stage of the rise and fall of power for the キプチャク Kahn country era, I came off the Volga midstream from the center of the history, but a person called imperial family ウルグ Muhammad (great Muhammad) defeated by a throne fight developed between progenies of Genghis Hahn at a grassy plain in the 15th century retreated in the basin in Volga in 1438, and the founding of a country did Kazan Kahn country for the throne in Kazan. I reformed education, the culture of Muslim races of Russian Empire in the early 20th century from the end of 19th century and played a leading role of aimed at letting you accept self-government, exercising inside the frame of Russian Empire, and a part went into Eastern Turkestan (Xinjiang) of the China territory, and Zionism of Xinjiang increased it.
The Tartar communist Mir site sultan gully F and others that made the federation which unified Muslim races, and was going to realize the self-government inside the frame of the Soviet Union nation played an active part in the Russian Revolution, but I decided that the Russian-centered Soviet Union government set the self-government domain every race and subdivided a Muslim every race, and Tatary self-government republic was built in the ground of current Republic of Tatarstan as a self-government domain of the Tartars in 1920.
In addition, when it was the progeny of the bulldog girl person, from last years of Russian Empire, the Tartar of Volga insisted and had aimed at the self-government realization of the bulldog girl person, moving, but the construction of the Tatary self-government republic was vague until now together, and the name called the Tartar was set as the race name which pointed to the people called Tatary by in a mass formally, and the race name of the bulldog girl who pointed only to the Volga Tartar was denied. It was admitted that Crimea Tartar having relatively big population in last years of Soviet Union is a race different from a Tartar, but other Tatary is named generally now afterwards with Tatary.
