Mamoru Nohi country Shrine (のうひごこくじんじゃ) a Shinto shrine (defense of the fatherland Shinto shrine) in Ogaki-shi, Gifu.

I am enshrined in the Ogaki ruins of a castle (Ogaki Park). I enshrine a soul more than 18,900 pillar of the defense of the fatherland from Gifu (mainly the Seino, Hida district) [1].

History

It begins to worship 54 people killed in action of the Ogaki clansman that old Ogaki feudal lord, Ujitaka Toda participated in Boshin War (1869) in August in 1869 though I founded 仮招魂祠 in the chastity kneading on fire ground of Ogaki Shiroshita. I fixed the Ogaki Castle outworks of a castle for 招魂場 (1870) in August in 1870, the following day and founded 祠宇 and held service. Food and wine offered to the gods, religious service charges, repairs costs would be paid every year (1875) from the Treasury in September in 1875 and were renamed to a bureaucrats festival shrine dedicated to the spirits of the war dead (Ogaki shrine dedicated to the spirits of the war dead). I enshrined 12 family with samurai antecedents of the Ogaki being on the register roll that was embedded with the Southwestern Rebellion in (1879) in 1879, and was killed in action together.

Because a main shrine collapsed by a strong tail earthquake of (1891) in 1891, 500 yen was issued as a reconstruction subsidy other than the donation of the volunteer by the Department of the Interior, and again completion ceremony festival old was performed (1895) in October in 1895 [2].

When and I went to the front for Sino-Japanese War in an officer from Gifu in (1900) in 1900, and a war enshrined 253 people who died of an illness together (1897) for 1,897 years, and 2,552 people from Gifu that went to the front, and accomplished war death from an illness were enshrined together in (1905) in (1904) and 1905 in 1904 by Russo-Japanese War, the time of main shrine expansion and the reconstruction increased and an ex-serviceman under Gifu played a key role and organized shrine dedicated to the spirits of the war dead reconstruction resolution alliance society and recruited donations. I was completed in (1909) in construction start, 1909 in (1906) in 1906.

I was renamed to bureaucrats festival "Nohi shrine dedicated to the spirits of the war dead" (1939) on March 27 in 1939 and subsequently renamed it to "Mamoru Nohi country Shrine" of the Department of the Interior designation with official daily gazette notification of April 1, the same year by "shrine dedicated to the spirits of the war dead ヲ 護國神社 ト changing of a name スルノ matter" (March 15, 1939 domestic affairs of states departmental order twelfth 號). I established 御造営奉賛会 for reconstruction building and the precincts expansion of the main shrine, and Gifu school affairs director, Mayor Ogaki, Mayor Takayama, Vice Chairperson Agatacho, Gifu village mayor society took office as Governor of Gifu, a vice-chairperson to a chairperson and entrusted chairpersons with an officer for each heads of towns and villages in the veneration area (Seino one 5 county and Hida one 3 county), empire ex-serviceman afterwards. I was reduced to ashes by Ogaki air raid based on a design of Department of the Interior Shrine station engineer, Takashi Sunami (1945) in a main shrine, a front shrine, a shrine office on July 29 1945 during building construction.

When a peace treaty (the San Francisco Peace Treaty) with Japan took effect (1952) on April 28 in 1952, and sovereignty recovered, I established 御造営奉讃会 (a chairperson: Mayor Ogaki) (1955) on September 29 in 1955, and a main shrine was completed (1958) (1956) on April 21 in start of work, 1958 in April in 1956, and 幣殿 and a front shrine were completed in (1959) in 1959, the following day. Seino Transportation (existing Seino Holdings Co., Ltd.) founder, Rihachi Taguchi dedicated Otorii in (1965) in 1965. 香淳皇后 goes and worships with the Emperor Showa in an occasion of the 20th National Athletic Meet (the Gifu national polity) Imperial attendance on October 26, the same year.
