Hot-spring resort
It is located in the halfway up a mountain of hot water ノ Maruyama, and there is "the Rhododendron japonicum stock of the natural monument near, too".
The hot spring is divided into two of Kazawa Onsen and Shinkazawa Onsen, and both are the distance distant. I may be treated with this case that two are distinguished. Both are located in an area of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park.
There is Kazawa Onsen in the high place of 1,500m above sea level, and colored leaves building of one hotel which belongs to the meeting protecting a Japanese unexplored hot spring exists.
There is Shinkazawa Onsen in the high place of 1,300m above sea level, and it is hot spring water drawn from the source from Kazawa Onsen, and there are a lot of inn and hotels. In addition, there are many skiing areas of Shikasawa Snow areas in the outskirts, too.
History
I am said to be the discovery of about 650, but am not sure. It is said that the open hot water legend discovered the place where a deer heals a wound in the Genroku era year, and the hot spring name is associated with this, too.
In the Edo era, the whole area around Kazawa Onsen was a territory of the Netsu territory (direct feudatory of a shogun Matsudaira, current Netsu, Toumi-shi, Nagano).
It developed as a spa, but the hot-spring resort was destroyed by a fire of 1918. I maintained a hot spring water drawn from the source pipe, and the inn moved to the place of current Shinkazawa Onsen leaving one house afterwards.
Kazawa Onsen is the birthplace of the snowy mountains paean. It is said that I made it to kill boredom in those days when Eizaburo Nishibori of Captain South Pole wintering party first generation who was the student of the Kyoto University mountaineering club was confined at an inn in winter by snow.
