Summary

The bridge design at the time reached mainly in the inside of organizations such as the Department of the Interior or the Ministry of Railways. On the other hand, Masuda who learned a design technology in the United States for approximately 15 years establishes a drawing office in Tokyo and designs the bridge as part-time service of the local governments. The bridge which I designed for approximately 20 years in the office is approximately 80 bridge. In addition, I design a girder, a truss bridge, an arched bridge, the bridge of various forms including the suspension bridge.

When a wartime color is strengthened in the early days of the Showa era, and the bridge construction work decreases, I seemed to deal with the designs such as a dock, a water gate, the subway, but the next activity is unknown.

In the representative bridge which Masuda dealt with, Nobuo Bridge (Fukushima), Arakawa Bridge (Saitama), a gray mustache bridge (Tokyo), Ohashi, Ise (Mie), Ohashi, Toba (Kyoto), 13 Ohashi (Osaka), Muko Ohashi (Hyogo), Yoshinogawa Bridge (Tokushima), Ohashi, Nagahama (Ehime), Mimitsu Bridge (Miyazaki) amount to whole country each place. In addition, I design Taiwan, the Korean bridge abroad.

After having died, the plan documents such as a design check, the plan are said to have been scattered and lost, and there was hardly a known thing, but, as for the achievements, it is discovered except some experts that (2002), a lot of these plan documents are kept in 2002 by Public Works Res. Inst.
